A Life

Every piece of information leaves its mark. If the information I am exposed to, or expose myself to is constrained or limited to one side of a story, my judgement on the issue can't be level-headed.

As I am to expect never to hear the full picture, or know the full context of events, both locally and personally and world-wide, politically, any view I may have becomes completely irrelevant.

When a view is expressed, it is expressed with the mind "at the time". It should be clear to us all that this happens. The next moment always comes, so to act and think there will be no consequence is a judgement we simply shouldn't have.

The existing opportunities for expressing discontent at the current state of affairs limit themselves to voyeuristic galleries for like-minded moderates, in need of a formula of life to cling to and therefore no less addicted to news than a heroin addict to his powder.

The next time you "want" something. Anything. Think how it got there, and what its real purpose is. Is it important in that moment?
