I have to thank a random wise lady for showing me that things I had experienced are echoed in the bible, in metaphor, and that the establishment had made sickness names for the stages of enlightenment to stop the plebs from the evolution of thought and personality itself. Welcome to the next step.

The first step is to recognize that the initial reaction to your senses and knowledge will always be linked to an emotional response. As we've picked up those patterns of responding to the world from other people, they are part of the corruption of the self an aspirant must purge. The divided-self could be observed as a segmented disk, where each segment can either be worked on in sequence or all segments of the self modified at once for maximum impact on the ego-self.
